Home of everything fun and fancy at Royal Holloway's Geography Department.
About
The Royal Holloway Geography Society (GeogSoc) is an academic society which is based enhancing your geographical interests to 'after hours' entertainment. Ranging from academic lectures, regular events, and even a boat party at the end of the year, GeogSoc has it all. We also like colouring in!

During your three years at Royal Holloway, the society aim to enrich your social and educational experience at university by organising the best events on campus for when you want to have fun, spend time with your friends outside the lecture theatre and meet people from different year groups. You don't even need to study to Geography to join!

We are open to work with new people, from guest lecturers to pubs. Recent ventures include a Q&A and screening with Chris Kelly (director of 'A Cambodian Spring') to local businesses like The Armstrong Gun. Intrested in working with an energetic, eager committee? Send us an email.
What we do
Socials
One of the biggest traits about GeogSoc is the regular events put on throughout the year. These range from the Freshers Pub Crawl, themed CIYS nights all cumulating to the Boat Party. You can keep up to date on the next outing on our Facebook page!
Academic
Our focus on current events in the physical and human world of geography is shown from movie screenings, student vs lecturer quizzes and talks on current events.
Community
GeogSoc aims to support you throughout your studies. We wish to make the atmosphere in the department feel like family from the support we get from people like you and the department themselves.
